What mix to use

Hello Ive been asked to float and set a wall the bricks are red stocks and the mix they have used to but them up is some sort of lime mix . I'm usally on new builds and use hardwall to float out with but I'm not sure what mix to use any help appreciated

Possibly a 5/1 sand and cement mix with a waterproof ,left for a week then skimmed,
Renovating plaster would work too,skim next day ,
Depends on the wall ,has it cavity ,dpc ?

I can't see the dpc its a very old building Thanks for comments
