What would you price this at for 1 man laying with labourer and how long would it take you. All ground floor with ready mixed sand and cement screed. Will be using a dewalt dw088 laser level and laying heavy gague doc roll.

Room1, 3.4 x 4.1m (bedroom)
Room2, 3.4 x 4.1m (living room)
Room3, 1.2x 4.1m (hall)
Room4, 4.1x4.1m (bedroom)
Kitchen, 5.1x3.4m (kitchen/dining)

I'd want hundreds for that labour only.
Probably take me a couple of days as I don't ever do it plus I'd not break my back for day rate, fcuk that!

Surely you must know the answer to this if you are a screeder?

You tell us how much you'd charge for it an we'll tell you if your hot or cold(y)

Lmbo!

I'm thinking a day to set dpc, get levels with laser, strike chalk lines where laser line is and do 2 rooms.
Day 2, other 2 rooms
Day3, last big room (half day)

150 per day for me
80 a day for labourer.

(Half day 80 yoyos and 50 yoyos for labourer)

I get ya lol.

All jokes aside thou, I'm just Interested in seeing how i would fair up against others on here. Admittedly I know I couldn't match others on here for speed but main reason for this thread is that if I'm ripping the ballix out of it, I would drop my price as to not do the client because I'd hate to overcharge. If my overall price is near enough a fulltime screeder then if it takes me an extra day, I'd take the hit instead of making the client pay for my inexperience, if the price is on the money then im happy. I know I can do a good job and if it wasn't so close to xmass, I'd pass it on but I've nothing in for Dec so thought I'd have a craic at it. 4 youngins to provide for so it ain't easy :(

If that's the case why didn't you put your price up and see if people say yes or no.
That's easier and makes you look less stupid than asking for prices.

Also I get your point when you say you don't want to overcharge the client but do you think if you under charged and done day a day for nothing that any client would say here you go there is extra for the day you lost.
No they'd go and spend it on something and be happy how cheap it was.

At the end of the day it's swings and roundabouts a price is a price just make sure you earn money and not lose out or just make wages, you can't do this all your life and you need to make what you can while you can.

People will pay £200 for jeans that cost about £20 to make.
You think the company cares who buys them as long as they buy them..::Nope
You think the person buying them cares about the people slaving for pennies to make them...nope.

Get my point?
