What to use

Got a little job to do for a joiner. He has studded up a door and wants it rendering just wanted to know what the best system to use. Can i ply it, building paper, mesh then coat?

Yes mate but use rib lath if ya can stainless won't rust also use a breathable roofing felt instead of paper

Only use rib lath if you have the room its deeper than normal eml

Make sure the paper goes over the joint onto the brick then the mesh is the same but goes beyond the paper.

yeah we always chop past make sure we cover the straight joint

Building paper is better to use imo

Not that easy to buy. I use roofers breathable felt.
