whats your bag? - float and set

I was just wondering what you lads think about backing plasters as there are so many on the market. I wondered what people prefer for the usual two coat an skim or one float coat and skim and your preferred method.

For me the 'ole sand and masonary cement'.......Didn't mind the browning either.

Good stuff that, haven't used it that for a few years now, as don't do much dpc work these days.

I have been using sand and cement today but the sand had heavy grit in it,it was like using concrete and my arms are hanging off, I would use hardwall all the time if i could.

im into hardwall as my undercoat of choice...but can and will use anything i.e bonding toughcoat s/c brownng onecoat etc.

Bonding on patches etc
(plastering) sand / cement when dampproofing

Always multi finish to skim.

Yeah the grey is horrible like chewing gum and crap to rub up, pinks miles better. Not sure why but it is
