and would anyone know where to buy force-dryed rendering quality sharp sand ? thanks for any replies guys :-D

just trying to fined out if i can get them cheaper for a job i will be doing in North Devon, the mesh is the same stuff used on EWI ,the sand is mixed with OPC then bagged in 25 kg bags then mixed on site with SBR and you have a polymer modified render mix,........ its getting the right sand that is also kiln-dryed ...........

I know some of the guys won't use it but if it's just for use in S&C R&J do some pretty cheap gear normally.

Try Garside sands Garside Sands. Supplier of specialist silica sands ask for clive
instead of sbr Contact Damien Baxendale at Christeyns and ask for some powder polymer then you just need to add water

Thanks as well Andy great stuff that is 50% cheaper than where i was looking for mesh :-D, the only plastering stuff i usually buy are tools as i mainly do render/screed now !!.....

R&J mesh is Chinese stuff. Crap to use and is alkaline treated not proof. Ok for budget jobs with no warranty. Like using string.

Minster has been selling Weber mesh for £40+ vat a roll but a bit fine for s&c.

Ebay has some cheap stuff but if it's cheap it Chinese crap not German.

yes i used to get swimming pool filter sands from them as well, the suppliers used to charge double for it when they bought it from Garside bloody robbers , i hate middle men .......thats whats f the country bloodsuckers IMO........
