i've got an external solid brick wall to patch and plaster back.
The thing is the area that needs patching is where the old chimney breast used to be.
There's a bit of old soot etc that'll need scratching off, but what backing plaster should i use?
On soid brick walls i'd usually use a limelite renovating plaster and skim through with limelite finish to allow the wall to breath, but i've had problems in the past putting limelite near chimney breasts because little salts/crystals come through the wall?
What should i use?
And while i'm at in CAN you top tarmac limelite reno with multi?? I've always used limelite finish to allow the wall to breath. Wouldn't using multi make it so the wall would breath?
Cheers guys
