hi all,was wandering what guys would recomend, tarmacs limelite or gyprocs dri coat or are they identical

flood damaged houses got 2 to do,hacked off metre high, probably go with multi just wandering if there was a vast difference beteen the two

hi lenny, as yer man says, id use limelight backing coat with limelight high impact finish as a top coat. not cheap but good hardy product. it does hang wet because its lime based, as the name suggests, so plenty of wetting to keep the shrinkage down. just remember that lime based products do not work with gypsum based products so if the 1m youve hacked off is gypsum then use gypsum otherwise after around a week it will pull away and cause cracking where the 2 meet.

thx for pointing that out smooth, far as i'm aware the insurance companys are asking 4 the limelite to be used,as will not need removing in the likely hood it floods again, not too sure bout this tho

Why would you need any of these products just for flood damage?? surely S&C would be sufficent

ive used limelite with multi over before and it worked pukka no problems at all

Got a job to do in Jan, S&C with waterproofer overlapped onto the floor - it's then going to be screeded over (property was flood damaged).

h impact is recomended if not stated to be used as lime and gypsum based product arnt supposed to go well together.

or it may be another manufacturers trick to make some more money. its light multi !
