Hi when I plasterboard onto batten can I use normal screws (which I have thousands of ) or do I have to use prpper ones for plasterboard ?
Thanks

dry wall screws, which are black in colour...... are the prefered screw for plasterboard. but you can use zinc plated or nickle plated screws, basicly screws that arnt gona rust.

what i find with dry wall screw is at the end off the day..... you've got loads of black splinters
but they are cheaper than zinc plated screws

drywall screws also have a special shaped head (buglehead) which holds the paper without tearing it.

and if you do get an auto feed get a Ryobi I have had 3 110v makitas, 2 cordless makitas and 1 ryobi 110v

the ryobi auto feed is about a third cheaper than a makita its more powefull and lasts longer
