im gobby yeah oasis..........but when your good u can be...........proof in the pudding...or maybe you feel your the king on this forum..funny always thought liam was the gobbyist bloke there ever was.....im here so there u go .....so the answer to your queswtioon is im the swearword maybe ?

I think what oasis is saying mate is that this forum is a place where people ask for and get good advice on the plastering game. And not have it shoved in their face by a piss taker (Your words).

Im sure you mean no harm, but people need the time to get to know you and what your about.

Plastering is a confidance thing so when people ask things on here, we all try the install the confidance in the answer to the post, that way they can go away and put the advice into practise.

I look forward to getting to know all the newbies in time. ;D ;D
 
mart fair enough mate....think i was just dipping me toe in the water...nothing meant by it..i only give good advice , and try to encourage all newbies as i remember when i was one.....i bend over backwards to help newbies, as ive had lots of help in the plast by many in the same way , from the likes of grandwizrd, kebablover etc....if u read back what i wrote apart from the ego funny..everything i wrote was bang on ...but i will calm it down a little xx phippsy

People need a bit of time mate thats all, give it a few weeks and we will all be rippin the piss, cos we know each other.

i noticed that big bud signed up the other day......... i've heared he's a racist? and donsn't like people telling him how to plaster properly....
 
site mokey for years .slags off 5 day courses then opens one himself also tells everyone that his way is the olny way..hes the best etc etc...thus my opening mickey take to see if i could flush him out here......he wont take any criticism at all..and if you pull him up on something hes bullshiting about hell ban you...and yes a rascist and biggot ....oh hes also pretty thick too.......im proud to say ive been banned 4 times from his forum and hacked it twice......
hes my friend......shame he doesnt feel the same way about me
oh and if u talk to him tell him phippsy says hi and ask him if he knows what distemper is yet?

distemper although being a dogs disease ..its also a lime wash used on old buildings sometimes turn of this century all the way back to 1500s and before...used as a type of breathable paint for both lath plaster and wattle and dorb.....
(.Lath n plaster being wooden laths / strips nailed to wall studs then a mix of sand lime horsehair/donkey hair pubes of the plasterer and piss all mixed together and thrown at the laths then flattened in coats....wattle and dorb being same but lathes or should i say wattles from uncut twigs branches and split wood with then horse/cow s**t...mud...piss straw and pubes of plasterer packed onto surface , layered then flattern)
by itself these backgrounds would not last long so a lime wash would be painted onto it due to background being alive and breathable so too does the paint that should cover it ..if the paint doesnt let the building breath damp issues will occur due to moisture being trapped within wall etc ,, normally white in colour but can be tinted with pigments...old houses ie 15th to 17th century mostly white/ cream. some light blues light yellows think of miami vice and their colour of linen suits and u aint far off but as i say mostly white.......but never black lol...unless some freak mixed soot with it like silly boy lemon said ie bb which i might add they didnt.....think he had his head up a chimney...or more realistically his arse..ooowww hark at me what a bitch ;o)
