why so many types of plaster ?

why so many types of plaster?
i know you need board finish for boards,
Carlite bonding and multi finsh plaster for block / brickwork (inside)
but why hard wall?
and why brouwing when you have carlite bonding, why not just use sand cement?

i hope these questions dont seem too stupid
 
why have ford when uve got fiat, why have tractors when we have cars, why did it take me
years to learn plastering when i could have doe a 5 day course.......???????
 
They all do slightly different things in different ways , go on British Gypsums web site and fill year boots
 
bonding is for low suction backing and hardwall is not, also you shouldnt really use multi on bonding or hardwall, you should use carlite finish. and then you have, mp finish and mp75 but there for real spreads. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Irish spread, Church & roofer2plasterer put me right with a link to british gypsum. Ive put the link in here so you can look up what plasters are available mate ::)..............ps thanks 4 the link roofer2plasterer....just the job
