Wickes Stainless steel trowels

Just been down to Wickes earlier today, and they are having a nationwide stock clearance on their 'Master' range of stainless steel trowels. Got a bucket trowel, a gauger, and an 18" plastering trowel for about £3 each :)

Probably never use the 18" trowel, but it looks good in the van!

The price labels on the shelves have not been changed so they're still labelled up at the old prices, so what should have cost me about £35 actually cost about £10.

Well worth a look if you're passing a Wickes store.
 
Yes its true they are selling trowels at over 50% off went in yesterday bought an 18" trowel stainless steel because i had to skim up some pillars which were over 14" wide and it did the job very well ,all for the pricely sum of £3.90 instead of £15.30 .
And also it looks good in the van ;D
 
I went to Wickes this morning and all the staff were completely mystified when I demanded a 18" stainless steel trowel at a drastically knocked-down price!

I stood my ground and spoke to the manager(ess) who said there was no such sale. I managed to find the trowel I was after (the only 'master' range trowel left in the store by all accounts) and got her to scan it. Hey presto, £3.91 reduced from over £15 nicker.

WTF????? Is this some clandestine sale for Free-masons and the sort? Cheers for the heads up by the way....what a bargain 8)
 
Think it's a case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing. I saw the offer in the catalogue so went to my local store, they knew nothing about it either, but when they scanned the trowels the cheaper prices came up.

I'm gonna have another look at their catalogue and see what else is reduced, might be some more bargains to be had!
