i moved to devon around 7 years ago because it was getting so rough where we were . just didnt want the kids growin up in reading . we used to work in the smoke all the time and earnt some good dough .I was talkin to me mate the other day who was sayin all the boys are on two n a half a day at the mo!. when i told them i was on £3.75 a meter they said your avin a laugh aint ya !. truth is i aint on that at the mo , its just bits n bobs comin in , hardly worth gettin out of bed for really . cant wait till things start to pick up again . not to much to ask for some good dough to be earnt considering its one of the hardest buildin trades goin.

Dont believe everything you hear :)
no i realise that . havin said that me mate who is a decorater got his mate in to skim a 12sqm ceiling that was over boarded [so no messin about with pva ]. it had a roll over at the at the end . simples . the price .... £210.00 ! .In my book thats 120 for labour + materials .

london if feked most people on less there than anywhere cos its 10 a penny

that rate u quoted has never ever been paid in some parts.

Yea I been earning 240 to 290 a day from mid december till about a week ago but only gunna work 3/4 days a week till mid june :RpS_crying: and west londons not cheap bruv

sorry my fault. i dont mean on the same job [as in meters] they have a lot of work on though so by the time they have done 3 different jobs in a day thats what they are endin up with .

london work is fecked mate i do some site stuff for a firm and thier offering 1.75 a meter fit only and 8 a meter supply and fit float and set.
private work is the way to go at the moment in my opinion, and reading your posts you could be getting 240 a day if you knocked out 2 of them ceilins at 120 you said about.:RpS_cool:

by the way im not working for them prices im domisticated now............even lernt to use the toilet and not go on the floor:RpS_thumbsup:
