On a job where customer wants to keep wooden beads. Whats the best tool to scape them back quickly ready for skimming?

Also if you remove them is there a quick way to square them off again?

knife mabey?? not to sure to be honest if it was me i would just try a few different ways and see what works best

what i do is nail a thin coat stop bead up the side of the reveal then skim then fill in the edge . it leaves the bead showing . easier 2

Angled block off wood with a screw set where the plaster meets the bead, then run up and down while still green brush in ligtly and trowel out any lines, might have to repeat a few times , turning the screw out slightly for a deeper quirk

Just had a thought get a cheap external angle trowel and put a self taper in where the bead meets the plaster and use same way

Used a sharp scraper in the end to remove skim 30mm from edge of bead.

If you cut them out...do you remove the skirting also? Do put an angle bead back in or freehand the corner?

Any reason why the chap wants to keep the wooden beads?
I should rip em off and replace with new galv angles/stops or whatever you need to reform your corners/edges

You could freehand your corners but i cant see why you would want too, use a bead, its what they're for
