Tell the company you getting the materials from the area and depth you need and they should tell you how much you need! well thats what I do, and works for me matey ;)
 
right then quiz fans...
how would you work out the cubeage for say a 4x3 conny where the builder was a complete numpty and the floor runs 2" out of level?
btw its a victorian conny, and being as the builder was a bit oif a tw@t, the corners are at 38 degrees to the horizontal..

I'd use pythagoras theorem, find the cubed root of the answer and then multiply by Tuesday.

You use the formular to work out the area of a triangle mate, which is half the base times the height.

Measure is as a square then measure the triangles and take them off (I'll take it your talking a half a hexagon shaped conny).


If you want a 2 inch screed then measure it as just that, but the reality will be 1 inch on one side and 2 inch on the other, but for quantaties purposes treat it as 2 inch.
 
dont you mean (bxh)/2 as opposed to (b/2)xh ;D
personally id square the lot off, charge the customer and chuck the rest down the hole in the drive ;D
