hi all, I am doing a bathroom, and it will be part tiled, part decorated. If I use the green moisture board, can I plaster it prior to tiling, and if so what sort of adhesive should I put on it? cheers, alan

I have done quite a few here in brighton, I usually put a coat of washed sand and cement, to dub it all out, then vandex it, two coats, never had any problems. alan.

hi all, I have taken an old fireplace out on a job. my customer is having a wood burning stove installed. I need to render the bare brickwork. can I just use washed sand, cement? will there be any point putting hydrated lime with it. or will this be no good, and I have to use a fire retardant...

hi all, I have to hack off defective rendering, then going to re-render, with waterproofing in the gauge. the walls have been cavity foam filled several years ago. will this have any adverse effect on drying out, or will it, could it, trap moisture and create damp inside.

well I spoke to the building inspector, and said I am not going to hack it all off, (top and sides) just cut out enough to put my new lead in, render that section, rendaid the side and top, the re-render. done loads of these here in brighton, first time I have had a building inspector mention...
