Fungal grown in plaster?

Hi, Can anyone help? I have attached a photo of the problem. There seems to be some localised fungal growth in this plaster. It is in a cellar in an old building. There is central heating to warm the place. Can anyone identify the fungus, and moreover tell me how to treat it. I have tried an alkline based paint.

Thank you in advance for any help.

I would suggest, get your wallet out and ask a damproofing company to come around to do a survey for you, key boards don't fix problems like that, hope that helps.

I would try and see where the damp is coming from... paint is only going to try and hide a problem

Is there really any need for a reply like that? It's in the diy section.

Was a bit mean, my phone is non stop with people asking me to solve problems on the cheap. I hope the person sorts the problem out OK. Wind your neck in Stewart23 or offer some advice to remedy the issue!
