How can i achieve this effect?

Hi everyone,

Got a small bit of external rendering I need to patch but dunno how to achieve this effect!
If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated

you could try a real soft sand mix, add some sbr to the mix and use a roller.. only thin top coat though...
some of the others will have a better idea...

looks like high-build done with a roller.

Yep, it's 'Hi-Build' - Render - apply Hi-buid with your trowel then roll it with the roller that looks like some-one's attacked it with a dog-end Wash off the hi-build from your tools very quickly after use. Or if doing a good area, wash every 10 minutes at least with warm, soapy water or it'll be your worst nightmare :-(

P.S. Don't forget to 'fill' your roller with hi-build first, before you begin the 'effect'

I agree , high build . easily done mate , practice on a bit of old plasterboard for five mins so you can see how it handles
