Cornish Cottage

Hi all. Advice Please... I have a solid wall stone cottage in Cornwall.
The cottage was damp, I was freezing throughout last winter with mould on my furniture!
In March I had the roof replaced, new guttering and facias, plus had a multi fuel burner fitted.
Now for cost saving I have been ‘trying’ to do as much as I can as I have osteoporosis in my spine and an arthritic hip I need advice as to any more that I can do myself, or to bite the bullet and call in the builders/plasterers.
Where the walls in the 2 upstairs bedrooms had water damage from the chimney I hacked off the plaster and cement that was loose. I have repointed the bare stonework with Lime mortar.
The rest of the walls that are sound now only have dusty white, what I assume is, lime plaster? The newly pointed parts are still bare.
Should I get more lime mortar to coat the pointed stone wall? Then get lime plaster and have a go at completing it myself or better to call someone in?
Approximately how much would a builder/plaster charge to finish the job?
I have added photos
Very Many Thanks

No. Your average joe plasterer cannot deal with the knowledge of lime plastering. You will need a dedicated lime plasterer that does it day in and day out! (y)
I disagree, Iv done a fair few farmhouses now both interior and exterior.
Got advice from my specialist lime suppliers and worked to their spec, no harder than s&c, definitely no dark art

Chancer! Lol.
Certainly not a dark art, what I was meaning was it’s definitely not suitable to partake in for a site skimmer.

That's because you are a step up from some of the skim-only guys who don't want to read/learn nuffink. They would probably struggle with S&C, let alone lime mixes.

True I have put some time into researching it. I’m far from an expert but have a basic understanding. Mainly because I had to argue with the farmer who wanted chemical damp proof injecting and s&c on a 600 year old farm house
