Swimming pool

I have been asked to have a look at a swimming pool that needs some patches re-rendered.

There is a band of tiles going round the top where the render has blown and popped some of the tiles off.

If it is bad I might suggest knocking all the tiles off, re-rendering the band then re-tiling.

My question is what kind of mix or additives are needed for this kind of job?

only one i ever done had like a floppy liner in it afterwards, filled up with water (as opposed to tomato sauce i suppose :rolleyes))
but it were a straight 3:1 with rendamix, swimming pool companies spec...
oh fibres in it too...

I think sika make a waterproofer for swimming pools.

can you noy buy ready bagged pool plaster

i would of thought sbr coat then sbr in the muck-the sika nstuff is well expensive-did 3 x 3m3 plunge ;pools at a ruugby club a couple of years ago and materials were 5k-ouch!!!

Done lots of pools , always used the Sika 1 system , never had a oroblem if its done right
