What's the best way to wear in a new float for rendering?

Can't belive mines broke and i never had a back up one, don't know whay they don't do worn in ones yet! and why they make them with raised bumps on the back...

I take it emir ones are the best to buy?....

i take a new float to a timber factory and sand it down its some job.

If you're on about plastic floats just give it to someone doing concrete floors :RpS_thumbup:

Plastic the emar ones, yeah i gave one to a screeder before done the trick...

But don'y know any now, and thought there might of been a quicker way....

i just use a sheet off sand paper on them only takes about 10 mins hard rubing

just rub it on a concrete slab or something. same as if u wanted to take the edge off a trowel

You just can't beat this method and as it so happens I've got three hundred m2 of screed to do over the next week or so, anyone wishing to bring their new float along and lay these screeds for me just give me a buzz. The favours I do eh.
