Hi All.
Been asked to K-rend K1 a bungalow over pebbledash. The pebble dash is as solid as granite. Was just wondering if anyone has experience doing this? Can you just do two passes of K1? or is it worth giving it a scratch with a base coat? Cheers
Hi all.
As the title suggest would like to know if you prime Multi-rend boards before rendering (K-Rend Base coat). Any advice on preparing other carrier boards would be helpful too.
Cheers
So it's like sand and cement. Very fine aggregate that is dusty as xxxx when you mix it !! Finished with float and sponge..but ended going over it with limelite high impact finish as it looked to industrial. Coverage was s**t. Overall don't bother with it !
Will do mate. Spoke to their Rep, says it can be sponged or troweled, Hopefully I will be able to give some better advice by end of next week..got £700 quids worth of materials to practice with!! ;)
Hi All
Using Izonil one coat plaster next week. Still looking for any advice on what type of finish can be achieved and the best way to do it ! All the advice I can find online says it can be finished with normal plastering tools...Whatever the xxxx that means!! At the moment I am planning on...
I know mate!! and you got to put a cement slurry on first !! crock of s**t!!..tried to get them to go for NHL and putty finish or at least limelite renovating...but their damp surveyor has spoken and he had a clip board innit ;)
Hi all.
Has anyone got any experience with Izonil breathable one coat plaster. Just want to know what sort of finish you can get with it. It says you can get a high quality finish but been looking online and it looks more like a sponge finish. Be good to know if I can get any sort of smooth...
Well had a pop at it! Went okay. Learnt a lot!! Used Achtis politura with matt sealer. The customer went for the lamiest colour..so I think I am responsible for the blandest micro-cement award :)
Evening all.
Been offered the chance to do a 30sqm floor at a mate's house with KCberry microcement traffic. He is well aware that I have never used it but seems to have faith in me!! Got my head around basecoats but can't find any info on technique for top coat.
Do you need to keep a wet...
