Plastering advice - 1960s bungalow

Hi Folks,

I'm part way through a renovation project. We thought we had selected a plasterer early on until things unravelled and I've been getting more opinions in. Unfortunately I'm not getting anything consistent now.

Essentially my project is a 1960s bungalow. Double wall with cavity. It was done in sand and cement which has blown throughout most of the property. It seems like most plasterers prefer to work with dot and dab, even saying that sand and cement will just blow again in the same way. I've had one plasterer come out saying sand and cement would be cheaper as they can use a mix and spray it on but they've not made a recommendation either way.

I was originally led to believe that dot and dab would let the walls breathe, cables could be run behind it etc and it was therefore better but reading round on the Internet I'm seeing lots of opinions to the contrary and that sand and cement would be absolutely fine. Most of those threads seem to be about older single skin walls though so I thought I'd ask for opinions please!
Thanks.

What are the internal walls built from? 60s materials could be brick, block ,pots etc.
Sand and cement has not keyed and blown. Sand and cement can have too many problems, sand too soft, weak mix ETC.
British gypsum would spec Hardwall plaster and skim. or dot and dab and skim.

Thanks,
Mostly brick. One breeze. Plaster is stuck to the breeze better and lintels than the brick.
Basically plastering was supposed to be done by the end of this week but now the whole project is getting held up because I have to find someone else and most people aren't available till August

Absolutely nothing better than sand and cement for float and set if you get someone who knows what they're doing.
The vast majority of plasterers will recommend sticking boards on because they don't have the skill to float to a decent standard, if at all.
