Suction control primers supply issues

Having trouble sourcing products ......
British gypsum gyp prime apparently supply issues???
Told this by 2 merchants.
Knauf high suction plaster primer looks to be discontinued, (customer chased supplier who apparently had stock but turns not to be the case. but website was not updated)
Any other alternatives for preparing background prior to applying hardwall. Over high suction.
Might just resort to the hosepipe and flood the place for suction control.
Is Parex 3000 primer suitable for internal suction control?
Customer willing to pay which makes a change.

Says do not use bonding agent.you may include pva in that.
Want suction control.
Was hoping someone like yourself with a lot of experience would wave a magic wand and provide a solution.
Bg should have gyp prime available for purchase.

Give it two coats of 50/50 SBR mate, leave overnight between coats .
 
Depends on suction.

Two coats of 5 to 1 SBR is good
Very good!

Hard wall likes a bit of pull. It's not bonding.

Far too many variants on the background to supply a plaster that fits all when you think about it. It’s always been the plasterers job to control the suction and getting folk to stock it and then getting folk to pay any additional cost does not happen I’m afraid

B G stopped the production of High suction Browning when they brought out Hardwall.
When I float on high suction back ground. I give the wall a coat of Hardwall this kills the suction. Lay on a second coat straight away so that you are able to rule in.
I start at 8 am float to 10am then turn back and skim to about 12. Then float to 2 pm and skim to 4pm. if I did not break the process up I found that the suction was too much for the setting coat. There is no need to flood a customers property out.

Exactly the way I did it when it was just browning I would put the first coat of screeds on then lay a second coat on right away rule them off then the same process to fill in the middle and used the same method when hardwall came out never used a weak solution or agent over high suction always just gave the walls a mist of water as majority of my floating was domestic so always hacking off old gear

Dab and Mp75 work well over anything.

I remember the rep coming out telling us how brilliant hardwall was.
No cracking or crazing, easy to mix and use, go on any surface.
Spread I was with showed him the door and told him all bg backing coats were s**t.
thought it was funny at the time but he was right, hardwall is and always has been s**t.

100%...worked in loads of houses floated with hardwall and seen crazed cracking all over the walls...only remedy is full mesh and skim.

Horrible stuff.

Was the same with browning though with crazing but not as bad as hardwall that’s why s+c was king before these bagged base coats came out
