    I've never had a problem with pva just heard different opinions on wether to let it dry or wait until it's tacky, haven't used pva for months now just use bluegrit. I think it does hold back a little bit.

    You do yeah, but I always allow for that, obv if you don't then pva is winner.

    I don't think it does.. In college they can't teach you what happens on site, every job is different and you have so many different backgrounds it's impossible for them to teach that in college. Getting stuck in on site is by far the best way.

    Personally I would get some wood filler for the gap in skirting. And then just use polyfilla and decorators caulk to fill gaps above.

    I am patching in some holes where sparky has removed lights in ceiling and also where we've removed a wall, blue grit it up ready for skimming tomorrow. Nice easy day IMO. What's everyone else on today?

    I would rather loose £50 and stay at home with my family than work for £50. What we do is worth more than that IMO.

    Painting new sand & Cement render!

    As above use sandtex primer and then 2 good thick coats with a long pile roller. Sandtex has a 10 year guarantee too.
