Remove Black Silicone Stains on Monocouche render?

Yep, diesel has always been the first choice of cleaner for siliconing. My customers love the fresh and zingy smell it leaves. You can buy a handy litre bottle from most outlets. Always use clear silicon when you have 2 contrasting colours, unless you’re an ace with the silicony like Chrispy...

Price per metre skimming on site?

If you can earn what you need in 2/3 days than 5 then that’s being savvy and fair play. It will obviously come down to personal outgoings and time of life. I think the older you get, the chase is less appealing for many.

Price per metre skimming on site?

You’d hope so, but doesn’t always work like that. I’m all for trades getting what they’re worth, but the market will dictate as will the area you work in. You may be able to command above average day rates based on your selling prowess, but you may not be able to fill the diary every day. That...

    Is This Normal?

Not really. Paint it and if it looks shite then get them back to rectify it. Time will tell if the damp proofing has worked.
  22. ChrispyUK

    Is This Normal?

Looks like they’ve just used a lot of water and trowelled up the fat.If it’s smooth/flat, then paint it and hopefully it’ll look ok. I’d be more concerned that they’ve done their ‘damp proofing’ properly.

    Making a building habitable

We’ll see what the other 2 say. Let’s examine the evidence… Below ground, no way of digging out externally so it’s like a mini cellar. Given that, then whatever you do is a bit of a cover up as you’re on the wrong side of hydrostatic pressure. At some point, the little boy will take his...
