Cheap 240v mixers out perform the 110v mega mixers. I have both and would chose the 240v all day long. I have extended the length of the paddle to save my old back! Lol!
Moisture resistant boards are the most pointless thing in the world! Another con to get more money out of people. If they get slightly damp they snap like all the others.
I have tiled on tile at my own house with this stuff. I could not believe how much better a product this than plastering grit bonding agents. Paint on tiles and it is dry in 30mins. Why can't bg do the same baffles me.
We once did a job where the ceilings were plasterboard with lime render over the top. All the render was french made premixed 25kg bags. One of the bags was for board prep, you gave it a good key and put under coat then top to finish. It was a real good system, can't remember what it was called.
My mate built a 3 storey house from scratch with bottom floor underground and the basement cost the same as the 2 floors above. Basement was half the build cost.
Why in this age of tech can't you get a small machine sat in the middle of a room with short hoses that can fire on 5 to 6 bags of multi in 15 minutes. Would ideal for a 2 man gang without all the wear and tear on the body. Even if it didn't mix, it would not matter.
No mate but tape and jointed loads. Had a period doing maintenance for a major house builder and blown tapes were always stuck with air dry not hot mud.
The plastic stilts that Danny featured are 300mm and are the dogs. I would never use strap on stilts as I would fall off them. After one ceiling I was away, be lost without them now.
