    Rendering Over Painted Pebbledash

ive looked at that stuff ( parex ) Maybe an option....As i've never used SBR before, apart from using it from a bag to paint on this basement, as thats what someone asked me to do. I've been reading about bond it SBR. Maybe, if the paint is hard as nails too, i could paint a SBR bond/cement...

    Rendering Over Painted Pebbledash

I was thinking of EML, at least its got something to grip hold off. Still keep reading about sbr/sand/cement slurry...and people are saying it goes rock hard and sticks too anything. Don't know if id trust it though, 18 months down the line? Still aint decided what to do....i was even thinking...

    Rendering Over Painted Pebbledash

Afternoon boys. I've just looked at a job and need your advice. Luckily enough in my life i haven't had to get over too many problems in rendering, so this is a first for me. The whole gable of this house is painted pebble dash, and is as hard as nails. The front is just normal painted sand and...

    Working out screed

I given an estimate, untill i've seen it tomorrow, i won't know how big or small the underfloor heating is. After getting a rough idea of materials, its around £2200 at the moment. So it may be a few quid more, or a few less.

    Working out screed

Just as a thought...i've priced and everything...but what would YOU charge for labour and materials? Its not so i can charge more or less, but prices of different materials/labour round the country. So 13 tons of sharp, 130 bags of dust, and the labour to screed 150sqm x 50mm , and you'll be...

    Working out screed

thanks for the reply boys. I know the calculation is right....its just that is seemed a lot......probably because I'm sat in my living room, and its 5 x 4 20 sqm. So ive looked at it and gone, give or take 8 of my living rooms, 13.2 tons and 130 bags? Think ill get 100 bags of dust first, and...

    Working out screed

I've been using different online calculators to work out what I need. But normally I just supply labour on big screed jobs, but I've got to sort the materials out for this. Its 150 sq meters and 50mm thick. Most are coming back at 13.2 tones of sand but 132 bags of dust, when knocked up at 4 n...

    Unpaid work....................

i've had it once, about 3 months ago. Board and skim a ceiling and fill in a hole in a wall where rats had been getting in, and she had had someone silicone all the entrys up. I told her if i fill in this hole it'll look crap, the whole wall needs doing. She said dont worry etc...just need it...

    Skimming Buckets

i use them buckets. The only problem i get is the bucket trowel catches the handle of the bucket as you scoop it out. But if your using a board, then it don't really matter. Rubber buckets are ok, my mate wont use anything else, but i always find that it can be chucked up the wall if your not...
