2004 16 years old £40 for four days apprentice, £40 from college and £18.50 travel allowance, i thought i had millions

buy them from direct from the dura stilt site in america. there only $295, that's £176 plus postal which i think i paid £60, £236 total, had to wait 6 weeks though but i saved £100 and got the same product. there £334 here and i dont know if that incudes postal.

yes i do this, anytime i have done it the customers thinks its a fantastic idea, reli does look well and your always guaranteed that the angle that you paint up to is straight.

did a 150m2 ceiling once, 3 of us and a lab, big church ceiling, was all curved aswell. had to well scaffold it, cause it was 3 bays high lol. 30m2 not a bother,challenge yourself, you will be surprised.

got another job to price. same thing happened pipes burst in the ceiling. 5M2 ceiling in a local school just needs bonded and skimmed what you think £70 - £80 including a bag of bonding and multi??????

anybody had any burst pipes over the hols, mine went on boxing day and brought the whole ceiling down with it, lucky enough the house is insured and ill putting in a big bill for the plasterer (ME) to fix it lol. :RpS_biggrin:

sorry if this has been covered but what would be the best work light. seen a squad using those 110 vertical florescent light stands that plug in to each other. seem pretty handy

yeah thats an average sized ceiling, wouldnt even need a labour

i get the odd problem with my wrist, fractured it when i first started out and it didnt heal properly so it would stiffen up in the cold weather. just use a support band when it plays up.

just used mine today, best thing i ever bought, no ******* planks to put up and take down.

started out when i was 16, had done a bit before when i was 15, did my 3 years apprentiship on the one site, something like 200 houses. never really laboured for the guy i was straight on the tools, there was 14 of us at one stage. boarded, rendered, and skimmed a 3 story appartment in 5 days...

Finish on the Thursday before Christmas, taking a half day and heading out to the pub. just got a new build to plaster inside and k-rend on the outside. that should keep me busy for a good while. :RpS_thumbsup: :cool:
