Where do you get the cheap mars bars there over a quid ain’t they?View attachment 33028
One tub of Thistle Bond-it, in Jewson...wtf!
or 2 Marshalltown trowels
or 22 pints of Guinness
or 165 mars bars
Why is Bond-it so expensive!
Do you always list the price of materials in your quotes. What had is got to do with the customer how much you pay for stuff? .@BritishGypsum lol blue grit is £20 same size tub.
Can you imagine the quote
Materials:
Angle beads £6
5 x skim £25
Thistle bondit £200

A price is a price and includes mats if you are supplying . IMO. Has got nothing to do with them.

Labour: £x
Materials: £x
Small jobs i do all in price. Bigger ones labour/materials
Because it’s the best mate , but truth is merchants set all prices that tub can get for half that priceView attachment 33028

If you give a customer a price to include mats it has got nothing to do with them how much you pay for stuff .The price is the price .A mark up on mats is how you make money or have i been doing it wrong all these years .
When you pay for something from a shop do you ask them to break it down into costs ?
What makes it the best for you?Because it’s the best mate , but truth is merchants set all prices that tub can get for half that price
Because they make it and have tested it themselves mate tbh I hardly ever use it though , I got my own stuff nowWhat makes it the best for you?
You don't normally have to as its usually got a price on each item. When you pay for something from a shop do you ask them to break it down into costs ?

Buy 1000 mars on the multi-buy, and the saving will make you £100....you could buy another Thistle Bond-it.....happy saving @choppa
It shouldn't make any difference to quote at the end of the day as I presume you choose to grit to save on labour
Never used it , never needed toMy heads gonne explode today.
Grit is much more labour than pva
Never used it , never needed to
Agree , never ever let anyone PVA my walls , when I was younger my dad PVA 1st coat for me , so upset I walked home and never worked with him again , trueBetter off mate it’s a ballache. It has its merits tho like the labourer can’t miss bits

So is plastering lolMe too, chocolate is bad for ya.
Down side to this method is when I go to do job I.ve forgot price. .This is my way . On a bog standard room to price . Walk in look round . Work out how long it will take then materials add em together then stick a bit on . Tell customer all in price . Agree a start date . Simples

Very rare I have to sort big jobs . Come to think of it I can't remember last job I had to buy a ton of gear for .Same. What do you do on big job?
im sure thats the retail price if you went to the counter and asked the price it would be considerably cheaper.£100 for bond it! Only a diy-er would pay that!
