1 coat or 2

When skimming plasterboard do you lads put on 1 coat or 2 ? only talking to a builder today and he was saying on price work most will just single coat,is this right ?
 
one coated bedroom ,bathroom and hallway in flat today, came out tops cant tell difference
 
sponge after flattening ,gotta make sure you fill tapes, reveals , beads and doorframes spot on , we got really fussy clerk of works at mo, honestly m8 cant tell its one coat
 
i believe you ive seen it done and had a go ......im crap i either get on it too early and its a stodgy mess and too late and you cant get the float lines out

all you need know is a ritmo!
 
i prefer 2 coats but worked with a few old boys years ago in beguim they all only one coated got used to it quicker per metre but you need to go like to get it spot on
