Always try and lay down with the same gear i just knock it up slightly wetter, why wait an extra 40 minutes for fresh gear t start going off? Also knocking the gear up makes it go quicker so aslong as your filling your beads and tapes out first and getting your roughing coat spot on its simple

Met a plasterer that only ever throws both coats on at the same time like out of the same mix anyone else seen this?

I alway do that unless it's a big ceiling then I usually mix fresh for second coat.
Why waiste gear when it's the same finish

Depends if I'm on day work, price, if I supply or if customer supplyed haha.

All honesty ill second with same gear if I can control the set, if not ill second with separate on a larger area

That's when it's full chemical reaction has happened, if you knock it up when it's still soft it will just speed up the chemical reaction.

so your ok knocking it back up with some water or is it best adding a bit of fresh powder aswell

Yeh .... The local #Pikeys make a small fortune from the practice .... but they run and hide pretty fast, no hope of any snagging there ;-)

I found the app to do the trick but everybody is now back to work etc... so we are really ready for this years match
