Sbr the wall and go again
Whats the best way to go about finding someone for this? i'm a bit embarrassed about the wall to be honest.
It’s hard to advise him really John but if he sbrs it it’s only small out a tight coat on and go over again after he will get it I thinkThe trouble now with a bonding agent like waterproof pva or sbr and the others is that he has now caused deep scratches. If he uses a bonding agent the thickness thats going to go into the scratches will cause slumps. Hard and frustrating enough for an experienced renderer to get over but a diy’er will have problems.
Should of just knocked it all off and started again . This job is going from bad to worse imo,The trouble now with a bonding agent like waterproof pva or sbr and the others is that he has now caused deep scratches. who's John?
Oh. Hello John.Thats me.
Considered thisBuy a tyrolean gun on Amazon 20 notes . Mix sand and cement 2to1 put drop of pva in it and splatter it . Paint it job done .

Hi please go easy i am new to cement rendering. I've got a 6.6m by 1.5m block wall i used a 4-1 plastering sand/cement mix on the scratch coat then 5-1 coat. The scratch coat has stuck solid but my top coat cam away in parts so i have removed it all. Not sure what to do next. Thanks for any advice
I would of paid a professional but out of the 3 i contacted only one turned up but then failed to even call back.
Think he may have done it by now ....could you have not just given the wall a light scud coat in the first place to grip it up. I think a guy at the very start of your thread said it.

Best scud coat it now then top coat
You can never be too careful can you.Not sure it's dry enough yet mate.
It's only been 5 years.
Best leave it a bit.
Scratch coat should be left with an open finish not troweled smooth and scratched 5mm deep with a round wire scratchHi please go easy i am new to cement rendering.
