Here's a wee brain tease for all you smart asses out there. How many bags of skim to skim 2 coats of 4250 sq ft of walls/ceilings.

Also, when dabing on board adhesive onto dusty stone cottage wall, would you 2 coat PVA the wall first before sticking the addy or just throw it onto wall without PVA. Have never put board addy onto stone walls before so scratching my head thinking what's best to do.

you need 43 bags of multi. for your ceilings and walls.

i do not know anything about stone walls. no stone walls in suffolk!

395m2 so 40 bags of skim.
You could either wet the walls down before dabbing or a weak coat of pva would do no harm.with stone if it's cropped(coarse and random sizes) it will be uneven so you will be best spraying the water or weak pva on.

395m2 / it by 9.. (10 m2 per bag but allow 1m2 in wastage) 43.8 bags :)

.2 under a pallet. Ffs I had another 10 bags in thou think most plasterers do this so they end up in our sheds going off forgot to take to next job, so I heard on the grapevine

Has it dpc in the cottage? We did a cottage early this year and the dab company would not guarantee it unless we battened the walls as well I if it has I would just clean walls down,

As for skim about 60 with waste added on lol

No dpc but where the boards are getting dabbed on, this part of cottage is dry. Other parts have some damp thou that's some of the exterior walls. They are getting studded with treated timber, moisture resistant plasterboard with dpc under bottom stud. I tried talking the client into doing it different but they want this as its the cheapest option.
