Normal is ok for lowest setting. My old boss got 4 18" long piece of 30mm pipe and when we were on stilts just chuck them on the legs.

That's a cracking idea, was thinking what I could stand it on to make it bigger. You get the dinning room painted?

Obviously 2 need to be slightly smaller but youll figure that out. Almost. Walls need 1 more (3rd) coat cus ive gone from dark to light and woodwork needs 1 coat. Will be done for 12 tomorrow. Then start the hsl :(

There's two tin of emulsion sitting at the top of my stairs that my misses put there for me to paint about four months ago.

They will be there for a while...

Haha brilliant. Ive got the estate agent coming monday so wanted at least 1 of the rooms dobe. Tempted to pay my mate to do the hsl lol

I'm done with estate agents, put a cheeky bid of £116,000 in on a four bedroom detached house on Monday that had been on the market for months with no interest. It was in a lovely area but was disgusting inside, needed done from top to bottom, 3 bathrooms and kitchen/utility room all needed ripped out. Any way got a call Wednesday to say that the vendor would take it off the market if we offered 120. Phoned lawyer straight away and bid went in so everything was done and dusted. My missis phoned estate agent they said they received offer so thought everything was fine. Thursday gets phone call from lawyer to say that they contacted agent to be told they never received offer and that miraculously another offer had been accepted which was higher than mine. Lawyer has proof that offer went but what can you do? What happened is that after finding out what the owner was willing to sell to me for they have been on the phone to there friends letting them know a house is going for 20000 less than it should be. No offers in nine months then two in one day. Cuunts the lot of them.

Ive seen one for 130 in the same state. Going to put a silly offer in once ours is up. So much potential. Huge garden. Big garage. Space next to it to securely park the van

Estate agents always have investors on soeed dial. Brown envelopes etc... u would do the same

Defiantly a brown envelope job, house was on for offers over 140 last month and home reporting at 155. Plastered two bedrooms four doors up last week and she was telling me she paid 165 last year for hers. Wasn't getting my mortgage through them so no way was I getting that house.

Put the silly offer in, they can only say no.

It's the standing on one leg while strapping the other one in that I'm wary off, will give it a try tomorrow. Do you do the calf strap first then the ankle one?

Get It Plastered | Roughcasting & Rendering, Plasterer in Ayrshire and Glasgow

Try to get on them both at same time.. do your calf straps first.. this will stabilise your legs.. then do your toe straps..

To get off them do the exact reverse.
Toe straps, then calf straps. U will b alot more stable whilst locking yourself in..!!!

Stu, Lean against a wall. Strap your foot into one. Lean on the wall and stand up onto that foot and place your foot in to the other strap. Or stand on a hop up or easiest of all sit on a windowsill
i always try to go with beddys third option,, sit on a windowsill,, definitly the easiest way

Windowsill defiantly the safe option. Starting to get the hang of them but still can't find my spot board, must have skipped it a while back as I'm prone to throwing things I don't use.

I use my hop-up to climb on stilts and put my bucket of gear on, after 15 years of using them im still not 100% on them ,but I find the gear is high enough on the hop-up , I work on my own mainly and out of a skim bucket:RpS_thumbup:

Same - Use either hop up ... or set your step ladders near a corner and put em on that way and then if u should slip whilst putting em on your only gonna lean into the wall :RpS_thumbup:

Stand against a wall and hold your knees close together and that will stop any risk of falling off when only having one foot strapped in.
