Hi Guys,
Just wanted to seek some advice.
Ive just had, at considerable expense, coving to each room done in my home. 11 rooms.
I was initially pleased, but was concerned when a couple of days after the first few rooms had been done, 1 piece started sagging and eventually fell.
Then a day or two later, in another room, I found 3 (adjoining) pieces on the floor, and as I was looking, 2 further pieces came off in my hand.
Then on the same day another three pieces (again adjoining pieces) came off in another room.
The plasterer is a knowledgeable guy who has done good plastering work for us before and was extremely apologetic and confused. And has replaced the pieces.
Its been a couple of days and nothing else has come down, but I am concerned, if it was to fall down on a child, it could be extremely dangerous.
I know very little about plastering but he used some sort of unbind adhesive to use as a "key" so that the plaster would grip the wall.
I just wanted to get some thoughts, because i'm worried about other pieces falling. If it stays up for a week or so, is it safe to assume that it has gripped and will be up for good?
I've had to delay painting and wallpapering due to the issue, and am just unsure what to do!!
