Advice on insulated plasterboard around copper pipes and cables

I'm currently refurbishing a room and in the process adding some internal wall insulation.

The wall has been stripped, electrician has been in and done first fix and my plumber is coming this week to install/reconfigure the pipework for new radiators.

The walls are solid brick and as I am installing insulated plasterboards, we agreed (electrician and plumber) rather than chasing the pipework and cables into the wall, they will run the 15mm pipework and electric cables clipped to the surface of the wall as this will then be hidden by the plasterboards. (I will be insulating with Celotex 52.5mm insulated plasterboards).

However I am now thinking, how exactly will the plasterboards hide the pipework and cables?
  1. Would I cut into the insulated plasterboard to accommodate the services? I believe this isn't recommended as it could breach the insulation properties of the boards
  2. My plasterer planned to use dot and dab so would he need to apply additional adhesive to make up the difference?
  3. Would the plasterboards need to be mechanically fixed to batons instead of dot and dab?
  4. None of the above and services should have been chased into the wall?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
 
Just chase the back of the boards ie. strip the insulation off the part that goes over the pipes. It'll make no difference overall. Just dab over the cables. Boards might need some mechanical fixings too.

Get them chased in or you'll end up with massive dabs. Using more adhesive and having to cut the insulation off the back of the board which is shite . All down to lazy plumbers and sparks
 
I had it a couple of years ago on an extension I was arguing with the plumber when I turned up as the homeowner told me he was chasing the pipes in the wall and the lazy c**t had wacked all copper pipes and brackets on the walls I had to dab off cut pieces into the smallest areas to pack it out so I could board over the b*****d and he was a p**i aswell

You should have smacked him over the bonce with an off cut of board. Lol

Thanks all for your comments. Didn't realise there were any comments as didn't get any notifications and last time I checked my post was pending approval!

Anyway, ended up getting the plumber to chase the pipes in the wall. Electric cables on the surface but will easily be covered with dot and dab.
 
Another question... Is it standard practice to plasterboard the reveals or just skim them?

The reveals are already fairly smooth as it is so was hoping skimming would be sufficient to avoid adding additional thickness.

It's standard practice to get a plasterer for this type of work
