I wouldn't worry too much about the scar the state of the render overall looks shocking they not heard of a straight edge /and or float

Everybody gets cracks...and unfortunately with Mono, they can look an eyesore unless the Mend Rend system is used and the whole elevation is painted.
From the picture of it in the sun it doesn't look like they used an IBar to get it flat which is a shame.
No idea if this is the correct spec as I haven't rendered to carrier boards, I'd contact K Rend, doubt you will find them very helpful.

I wouldn't let them go any further till they hacked off what they had done which cracked, then see if they can get it right second time. I'm being a bit forgiving I would really have f**k*d them off
but sounds like your prepared to let them try again?

I've yet to see a decent size area of render in raking light without imperfections/bumps, you can rule both ways and I-bar til the cows come home but you're not going to beat the sun across a wall for 15 minutes a day. Hope you get the cracks sorted.
