Hi, I’m fully aware down lights on render show imperfections and blemishes etc etc.

Can anyone advise if these are excessive, I’m no plasterer but the picture speaks volumes.

The Renderer is blaming the lights and saying I need defuser lights, surely the uneven render plays a factor?

If it looks good enough in natural light then it's acceptable.
You've had an old property re-rendered and you're expecting everything to line through perfectly? As above, as long as it looks good to the eye in natural light it's acceptable. Obviously you haven't put pictures up in normal light so we're none the wiser.

You've had an old property re-rendered and you're expecting everything to line through perfectly? As above, as long as it looks good to the eye in natural light it's acceptable. Obviously you haven't put pictures up in normal light so we're none the wiser.

But some will think it will..it does look bad like but fook knows what there went over could of been a hack off and walls being feet out!

It don't matter how rough the substrate is most jobs are hack off it's a case of daubing out and pricing accordingly

ive got some internal walls ive just done that are having ceiling lights close to the edge shining down on them.

Can't see that you'd produce that on an off day Andy , I can understand a few gentle waves but the picture with the level ( as a straight edge ) says a lot

We just been out to drop some logs off. Decided we will all go see all xmas lights for elliot of course. Pulled on to an estate and a house had em all round guttering . I said oh s**t. Wife said what's up . I said I rendered that lol. Somehow looked ok

More lights the better , that's why I said op has shyt rendering , imagine him just with a few lights

Some downlights don't effect the look of the render if they're out a few inches more on the soffit but these f**k**s are too close to the wall. Shine a bright light directly down substrate internally or externally and you'll be shocked at what you see.

Theres companies on Facebook advertising downlight fitting I swear every photo they put up the houses they've done looks a f**k**g mess. Finshed brick, sand and cement, mono, thin coat you name it close downlights will ruin your house.
