Alternative to WBA in B&Q

Is there an alternative to WBA in B&Q, my local wickes is miles away.

Dont think so Semaj ,ive never seen a b&q bonding agent.

some B & Q warehouses stock thistle bond it (gypbond)

ok cheers, I've got a wall that looks like it has been varnished or creme broulayed, so wanted some wba on it.

if u cant get any chuck some dried sand in with your pva mix will do just as good a job

Is that right napper ? what sand mate kiln dried or just any,a cheaper option to wba aswell.

This will do in some situations but not all, Boding agent is completely different to pva so adheres better.

rich is right there, as he says its a varnished wall if the background is sound i would just scratch the wall up pva it an skim

i had a wall like that last week mate there was a dado rail that had to remove there was more varnish on the walls then the rail scrach the wall two coats of pva 1part pva 3 parts water when it gets taky then just skim it ;D

cheers guys, job finished today. was setting really fast even after a soaking and 2 coats of PVA.
