Angle bead for skimming splayed window reveal?

Hi, I'm internally insulating all my external walls with foam board then drylining with plasterboard and skimming. On my fifth room now.

The window reveals in my house are splayed so the angle between the wall and the reveal is more than 90 degrees. (and the reveals are deep, 40-50cm with the insulation/lining on)

I've been using normal "thin coat angle bead" around the window reveals. But because the angle is wide due to splayed reveal, this bead stands off higher than it should, even if I squash it on and hold with pins while fixing. That makes the plaster too thick both sides of the bead.

I've also tried widening the wings of this bead with pliers, haven't managed to do this without distorting it and messing it up.

Is there a better bead to use and where can I get it? Thanks.

yes you need a skim stop bead

Thanks for the replies.

Danny if I use a stop bead I'm worried it won't tie into the plaster both sides of the angle and I'll eventually get a crack down it?

theshed - yes I'll look at mini mesh bead. I saw that in a catalogue but my local builder merchant doesn't have it. Wonder where I can get some quickly. I only need enough to do three more windows so don't care too much about price.

Found Wickes do mini mesh bead (I'm a long way from a Wickes though) and screwfix do plastic arch bead - but I have to buy a 12.5m pack to try it out! Will try some builders merchants first.

Get the 135 degree beads. Abit pricey but they are solid unlike stop beads. These are mustard for for splayed velux reveals and you can bend the wings if need be

Put your normal bead on and chamfer the back off the reveal board and dab it back until you get skim thickness. Make sure you chamfer enough off or it twist the flange out on the facing side

Lay your skim bead wings down on a flat laminated surface or pvc same lenth as your bead, place a lenth of timber on top and press down slowly to the splay required, one piece of laminate flooring ripped down the middle kept in the van can be a life saver now and again
