f**k knows. I used to run a bike company and magnesium was the new wonder material on road bikes (the pedal kind). Extremely strong and very light weight. Could be what it's all about. Happy with my alu stuff though and a good ol Ragini stainless trowel.
the hawks dont bend and twist like the ali ones do so i would think thats the same as the darby, give it to us for a week dropping it down a scaffold 10 times a day , then we will see how good it is ;D ;D ;D
I had a little look at the magnesium hawks last time i was in the tool shop the biggest one they had there was lighter than the smallest ali one i was tempted but i think it was £35 a bit steep for a hawk plus theres nothing wrong with my hawk i have at the mo, i might have to accidentley run over it in the van and get a new one
I use a magnesium hawk, nice and light but when a useless t**t of a forklift driver knocks it of the scaffold four lifts up they still don't hold their shape any better than an ali one
i used to use a magnesium hawk and whenever it started to get a build up of skim it used to blow and shell off, it was mad, i cant remember what i done with it though, probably still got it in my lock up. wonder if it will go different culler's if i light it on fire?
