Anyone seen this before? Weird.
Hi all,

Has anyone come across the attached before? There are a few spots where circular patches have dropped out. They look like large bullet holes.

One has dropped and we look to have another couple forming along with some smaller ones.

Render is FASSA and only 3/4 years old.

Any help appreciated.

Ta.

Looks like a shadow puppet of Bart Simpson?

Looks very much as though they've rendered over drilled holes without any sort of scrim/reinforcement and it came unstuck.

Most likely the plasterer didn't know and maybe even the company didn't know to specify that given that it took years to come out.

Every day a school day.

What's your number?

Any actual useful answers?
ive seen it before on occasions, it’s the composition of the 7n blocks, nothing to do with the render.
If you look they put all sorts of stuff particularly recycled items, glass, plastic etc in certain blocks.
the elevation gets warm particularly on a south facing, certain items on the face of the block expand, causing the render to pop off in a bullet hole type appearance.

Fair point rich

Will they likely be one offs so prob patch them and then repaint it all? Ta

There’s a house near me that I walk past with the dog and have seen this on the gable.
I thought it was because the overall thickness looked little over 10mm but now you mention the blocks I’ve seen bits of glass and other shite mixed in the blocks in Travis.
I don’t do a lot of render but when I do I always scratch/base coat first then float a few days later.

Ta pal. I’m just trying to get to the bottom of if anyone is at fault or it’s just one of them things. It’s annoying the build is only 4 year old.
