mate, i'm sure one of the lads on here is near to you. let them show you, not some muppet who bought a unit on a farm and opened up a college.

That reminds me of a nasty experience I had last month ....muppet...unit....farm ...
 
rich your thinking of animal farm rich...nasty stuff that is...they all seem to be on a farm jim, i think most farmers are part time plastering tutors.
 
I'm going to do their advanced fibrous course when i've got a spare 2 grand and a free month.
 
Hes saying dont bother wasting ur money and get someone off this site to show you.

Thing is Oasis you got the basic skills already mate ...you know how to mix gear, you can affix beads you understand levels and importance of applying in correct weather conditions etc,you can plaster already all be it skimmin,
So basically All you need to know is the correct method and more importantly the timings of these methods.
if you want to waste money on a course mate my advise is to go and learn how to machine plaster,cus all you need mate is a few pointers and a day or two watching not even applying the stuff

Jusdt trying to give him sme encouragement mate. but yes to an extent he could be rendering small jobs or internals in weeks,it aint rocket science.

Ive seen some of his past post and his photos of his backing out and hes coming along nicely,i wouldnt waste my money if i was him ,when he can just watch!!!!

fair enough you could learn how to use the machine in a couple of hours but you still need to be able to float and understand the materials this is the problem oasis has. Come with me for a week oasis how much do they want for the course?
 
I learnt from watching ,i mxed tons and tons of sh i t before my dad introduced me to a trowel,but by then i new the methods i just needed to use the equiptent i.e trowel /float derby etc.
Oasis will be doing this in reverse.
Be better of learning machine plastering though like i said earlier and flyyny will prob teach you for Nada.
 
i see thanks skimming but just looking around reali, course was £340+vat 5 days

it does make such a diffrence to have another spread with you as when ever i have one extra in i learn some good tricks.

lol im not a violent man i prefer mental torture HAHAHAHA come with me for a week and give me £500 i will also teach you how to skim and fix your beads ;)
 
£500 were are you then! essex is to far for me anyhow.

and beads and skimming lol im pro at that just take a look at yesterdays multi curved ceiling!

You can come with me oasis it will be on site though and hard work but you will get all the basics of floating mate and im only down the road we do a bit in cheltenham from time to time was working there just over a year ago just opposite the train station.
 
C wot?nah i dont self employed domestic plastering services. dont need one. unless i need to go on a site to learn to plaster with you! i used to get on site painting most weekends they never asked who i was!
