Applying Lime Plaster

Here's a question: I'm using lime plaster to go over an old lime plastered wall. Before laying the lime, I need to apply an adhesive to the wall - which one would give the best bonding qualities?

dont use any adhesive for lime work ,the wall will need to breath ,just give the areas a good soak before hand,and misting down for a couple of days after to help carbanation to take place
