These self employed people who are really directly employed are just being robbed of their pensions, holiday/sick pay etc. I would not advise anyone to go down that road.
There are umpteen better paid jobs .
I agree if it's long-term, but just about everyone I knew who came into the building industry around the time I, did so as a self-employed person. Those opportunities simply wouldn't have existed if we'd had to be on the cards.

Thing is malc, people who are running Ltd companies, I’m not talking like multi million turnovers average blokes who are using ltd’s to avoid personally going vat registered who have other blokes working with/for them. The first thing their accountants tell them when they get setup as Ltd is don’t put anyone on paye keep them all self employed for tax reasons.
