I'm neither.i came on here as I typed something into Google and a answear came from here as it was near top of page.now me showing 300 replies since I joined is nothing compared to your 2300 as I really honestly can't see me replying another 2000 times.not sure what your getting at? In 8 years time I'm seeing myself on the gardeners forum asking about weeds and best plants to grow etc as I wont be spreading much around young bonzo

Given that the North of England and South of Scotland are obviously very close, is there any/much difference in rates or costs between the two sides of the border?
 
Good point. However I would say that there are some affluent areas in the very south of Scotland. Don’t know if the far north of England has that?

me introducing myself,saying hello,shake hands,
him saying hi, come in,
him showing me extension saying its already to go
me making notes etc
small talk about the extension, and then he said you are the ninth plasterer to quote,better sharpen your pencil,
me closing book and saying to him, well thats all the info i need, and saying to him that i can understand him getting 3/4 quotes ,but not 9,, said to him i was not intrested in the job, he just looked at me, i turned round said bye to his wife ,walked out got in my van and drove off
there was no bad language/shouting/arguing, from him or me
as a footnote to above,.......he had the cheek to ring me up 3 days later,saying ,i know you dont want the job ,but did you by any chance do a quote,............me putting phone down

It was just curiosity, I've never worked in the North or Scotland. I imagine that there'd be a fair bit of money in some areas of Manchester and Cheshire, likewise for Edinburgh. Just wondered if there was a change at the border.

nath, just checked my first post about this, all i have done for your benefit alone is gone into a bit more detail on my second post, i think you will find most of the replies /threads tend to be kept to the short view .
