Just moved house an most ceilings upstairs have thick artex the thing is I need to cut a large hole to put in loft ladder for this patch is it worth getting it tested or will it be OK for a loft ladder hole thanks

Use a paper suit. Use a decent mask. Tape around the door to stop anything going in the rest of the house. Bag it up in two rubble sacks. Seal the open cut edge of artex.
