Bg are coming out on monday to get one of the bags to test it.

Yeah I have mate I’ve just boarded out a 3 bed house upstairs I had knauf boards they were ok down stairs had the bg ones absolute shambles had trouble cutting them looked like they were cut with a yokels teeth and looked like they were made with skim inside horrendous is putting it lightly

if people sent off the right details then BG may be able to see that it is only plaster coming from a certain mine.... or if it is effecting another mine.... a few bags is not a big enough sample

Oh I agree with you totally but with the amount of bags that get used every day if 10 people complain it can be like looking for a needle in a haystack... also it is not always the plasters fault....
some "plasterers" blame their tools and materials to justify to themselves..... (not saying anybody here does that though)

One prob there is if it's a domestic and you got five bags and your busy you don't want to waste time taking a bag back to merchantthat was the time before.... one or 2 bags is not enough to help solve a problem

Had always put any dodgy bags ( extremely rare ) down to poor storage , get mine from wickes , boards as well , all good and cheaper than anywhere else , beads off the net @ £0.70 p

Will find the beads later for you , doing a house in Northampton and the builder turned up with some 3m stop end skim beads for me x4 cost him £20 , box of 50 is about £60 on net , don't use them enough and I'm tight so I cut angle for arches etc

Years ago I used gear that had been stored on pallets on flooded building sites, freezing cold houses etc., guess what, no problems. They f**k**g know what's been going on with Multifinish for years now.
IMO many guys have either never used truly decent gear or have just forgotten how easy skimming used to be.
