All,

Just got a job to do a couple of walls in magnetic however all I can buy at the moment is a whole pallet. So, anyone interested in buying a few off me? At cost, no mark up so £65 all in per bag???

Funds up front via paypal, bank transfer or cash. Need to order this week.

wicks sell it per bag to order

I know but it's £95 per bag at wickes, over 50% more per bag. If I can sell 10 bags on i can absorb the rest of the cost and people on here can get a bargain. I've got 2 request for the gear in the last week..... It seems to be catching on, both jobs in nurseries. If I don't get 10 bags promised I'll just buy from wickes.

Good idea. I'll get onto that. I need 4 or 5 bags..... Hence the need to sell a few if I buy a pallet of 24. If wickes will price match tho, that's ideal.

It's £60 per bag too, not £65 as I said in post..... The £95 per bag at wickes must have been in my head .......

They are mate they told me this and I got him to ring his BG agent and he said yes he could get one but only when they order which could be every two weeks

Right, I beat the **** up in TP and got 4 bags ordered. So, @thebigfella any tips on laying this stuff? I see it says not to polish......so, just a case of laying on as flat as possible and a quick trowel or .......?

So it needs to go on 5 mm thick?

The thicker it is, the better it'll perform. I think the problem some have had is trying to spread it too thin....thinking it'll save money. I'm gonna put 2 bags on a 8m2 wall... Should give a decent amount of attraction!

I think back to a comment made on here when magnetic plaster was first mentioned. I think it might of been Jessop, said why not pin eml, bond and skim? Wonder if would work and be cost effective.:what:

Or, skim with magnetic/bonding mix? Now that is a good idea? Wonder if it'd interfear with wifi though...?

If it was £15 a bag maybe worth experimenting but I would just spec it at £80 a bag if I bought at £60 plus my labour, put on at 5mm and not worry if I got the job or not.
I assume you can use PvA with this over painted walls?

its just too pricey. twenty or thirty quid a bag would be more like it. i'd e pushing it on everyone then. but ninety or a hundred quid a bag they're just taking the p1ss. even at the sixty five list price. probably costs no more than a fiver to produce. if you want a big market for the product drop the price ffs. magnetic wallpaper would be better if you're just doing a display wall in the kids bedroom:
