can only use crates on very low lids though no good for terraced houses etc...also cant get a good pull as feet are in a fixed position...which I think is causing the pain with my back etc
Lol that's what I use them for terraces,I'm 6ft 4" so don't need anything on normal lids:RpS_thumbup:

@superspread...I don't say this likely but I think you need to go and stand in the naughty corner and face the wall!!!

im just going to PM some of the northern boys and see if you've shown enough northerness to be granted a place around our special table!!!

I just Googled it and thats what came up

Don't get me wrong you cant beat working off a scaff but balls to carting that lot in and out to do a ceiling. Ive got 3 different size hop ups, a short plank a pair of steps and stilts in the van. They do me day to day. Got planks tower etc for bigger stuff.

Much less wear and tear on the body.............. think on young man :RpS_thumbup:

But you spend longer setting up and carting in and out. Then unloading the van when you get home. Also on domestics more often than not I mix in the same room. Where would you mix when the rooms covered in planks. Also opening and closing doors?

I don't know how long that all takes to set up but I can't help feeling that the time it takes to set it up and take it down and as said load it in and out the van you could have done the set, also I usuall put the reveals on and a wall or two at the same time, would you be able to do this still,is there enough room around the deck?

we used the tool, equipment and materials of the day- it might seem a bit long winded to the younger guys - but with new equipment, tools and materials it has made the art of plastering easier, however the prices today are similar to prices from 20 /25 years ago so you guys have to spread more on to make a living, and it seems more competitive today than it was in the good old days :RpS_thumbsup:

I price 1 ceiling for x amount,so if it takes me all day to cart in scaffold, set the lid, cart out scaffold, unload in the lock up,that's ok cos that's what I've priced for and some
